Step 1: Initial Meeting (in-person or Virtual)

We begin with a personal consultation to understand your needs, preferences, and the vision for your home. Whether you’re a homeowner or a builder, this meeting sets the foundation for a design tailored to your goals.  

Step 2: Concept Development

Next, we'll gather details such as lot size and style preferences. From here, we'll begin shaping your home’s layout—starting with 2D floor plans, eventually evolving into 3D visualizations if you prefer a more immersive look at the design.

Step 3: Drafting the Layout

We move through the home level by level:

• Main Floor & Second Floor: Initial layouts focus on flow, function, and how the space will live day to day.

• Basement Design: We’ll plan any lower-level living areas, mechanical rooms, storage, and recreational spaces.

• Exterior Elevations: This stage brings the outside of your home to life, including architectural style, window placement, and roof lines.

Step 4: Revisions & Refinement

You’ll have the opportunity to review, provide feedback, and request changes as we refine the design through each step and floor level. Communication is key, and we welcome collaboration at every stage.

Step 5: Final Construction Documents

Once every detail is in place, we finalize a full set of construction documents—ready for permitting and building.

Whether you prefer the simplicity of 2D plans or the visual clarity of 3D design, we are ready to bring your custom home to life.

Timeline & Rates

The typical design timeline for a custom home design varies based on project complexity, but most projects move from initial consultation to finalized plans in 4–8 weeks, depending on client / builder response time.  Work is billed at our current design rates.
